HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE 2006 - KEN BENEDICT

KEN BENEDICT

Ken’s love of baseball started at age eight in Houston, TX and he has lived the dream at all levels ever since beginning with Little League. As a high school and college standout, he won numerous All-District and All-State honors as a pitcher and shortstop. He then played junior college baseball and finished his collegiate career at TCU where he set the Southwest Conference record for complete games as a senior.

Ken began his association with the NABA in 1993 and has played in every age classification over the years. No matter what age group, his reputation as a flame-throwing right-hander preceded him and intimidated those in the opposing dugout as his nine strikeout titles and 95-14 career record would testify. His skills are not one-dimensional though, as he is also known as a power hitting shortstop with a career batting average over .450.

In recognition of the above accomplishments, Ken Benedict is hereby inducted as a member of the 2006 class of the DFW Adult Baseball Association Hall of Fame.
